LittleStar Pediatric Urgent Care. Pediatric specialists.

Little Star is dedicated specifically to the needs of children. Unique among local urgent care centers, we see only pediatric patients, we are staffed exclusively by pediatric specialists, we are open evenings and weekends, and we work with local pediatricians instead of competing with them. We define our success by what you and your child have to say about the service we provide to you. We are only successful to the extent that you agree we provide high quality, efficient, and affordable urgent care for your child.

We understand the importance of patient comfort and seek to enhance your child’s experience by providing a kid-friendly facility that helps patients get their minds off of the reason for their visit. Equipping each private exam room with a TV remote control is just another way Little Star raises the standard of the patient experience for your child. As we conclude the visit, it is common for our doctors to prescribe a popsicle or sticker for your child; this prescription is promptly filled by our friendly staff with a warm smile.

Our approach to patient care was designed to achieve an average door-to-door time of about 30 minutes without compromise to the patient experience. Some of the more complicated cases may require longer visit times, but every patient receives personal attention from our staff.

Pediatricians

At Little Star Pediatric Urgent Care, we will always have a Pediatrician on site to care for your child. Our Pediatricians are Board Certified and credentialed in Pediatrics. Our rigorous interview process and ongoing education requirements assure that your Pediatrician will be up to date with the latest pediatric care information. All of our pediatricians are friendly, and believe that patients of all ages feel better about the care they receive when they can see eye to eye with their doctor. It is not unusual to see our doctors bend a knee to introduce themselves to a young patient, tell a joke, perform a quick magic trick, or have a brief tea party with your child and their favorite stuffed animal. Registered Nurses

Little Star Pediatric Urgent Care is committed to providing a safe and fun experience for your child, and our Nurses are a large part of that experience. Unlike many other urgent care clinics, Little Star Pediatric Urgent Care will always have a licensed and credentialed Registered Nurse on site. When it comes time to administer a medicine or recheck vital signs, our compassionate nurses will make sure to explain things in terms your child understands.

Medical Assistants

Our Techs play an important role during your visit. Techs are cross-trained to help with registration and desk duties as well as assisting the Nurses and Pediatricians in the care of your child. Many of our techs are Paramedics or Nursing Students who are pursuing a career in health care. At Little Star Pediatric Urgent Care, our Techs will assist in triage, testing, and discharge of your child. They are also available to distract siblings, bring your child a glass of water, or assist in any way to make your visit more comfortable.

Desk Staff

Our Desk Staff are the most important personnel at Little Star Pediatric Urgent care as they will be the first person to greet you on arrival, and the last ones to thank you for visiting at discharge. Our friendly desk staff are in charge of registering your family, handling all the paperwork, and answering all your questions on the phone. Although it is one of the busiest positions in the clinic, our desk staff are never too busy to smile and answer your questions.
